**Colston is currently in a foster home & is doing amazing!  He is just the best dog, has a great personality and loves everyone! His foster family can't say enough wonderful things about him.**

Colston was adopted from a kill shelter by a very nice older lady.   Although she loved him, he was just too strong for her.  She knew she couldn't give him the exercise that he needed.  She notified the kill shelter to let her know her concerns and they said that they couldn't help her & wouldn't take him back.  She notified SoCo Rescue and we were happy to step in to keep him safe.

Once in SoCo, we vaccinated him and had him neutered.  That is when we found out his is heartworm positive.  Our vet believes that since he is a young dog, once treated, he will have a great prognosis. And we will be more than happy to discuss treatment options with any potential adopters.

Colton is a very energetic guy who would do great with an active family or in a home with a large fenced in backyard. He is compatible with cats and other dogs and has shown some very good housetraining abilities.
