With an original litter of 13, Timmy and his 8 litter mates that still remained were surrendered to us from a property that also had a deceased dog in the yard.  Timmy came in terrified, starving and flea infested with a belly full of worms.  This beautiful baby boy withdrew from his other litter mates and stayed mostly to himself.  He would hide under his bed while his brothers and sisters played around him, and during feeding he was too scared to come out and eat.  When the Soco staff saw this we monitored him more closely and made sure he got his proper nourishment. 

Well now Timmy is far from starving, he loves to eat and has a healthy little belly on him.  Once he was wormed, had his flea treatments and he gained proper nourishment, Timmy started to perk up and become a happy pup.  He gained weight fast and became one of the biggest cuddle bugs at the rescue.  When you pick him up he melts in your arms and the more kisses and love you give him, the more he eats it up.  He loves to play with his litter mates and doesn’t hide anymore.  He may not be as active and assertive as his brothers and sisters but he does love to play and really loves affection. 

Timmy is about 4-1/2 months old, and up to date on all his first year vaccinations, but will need to be neutered once he reaches the appropriate age of 6-7 months.  He is a Shepard mix and will be a large dog once fully grown.  He will need to be house trained once in his new environment.  If you have room in both your heart and your home to give Timmy the attention and love he so deserves, please submit an application at www.socorescue.com.
