**Murphy is currently being fostered in the Pennington, NJ area.

Murphy, a senior Pomeranian, came to SoCo Rescue after his former owner had to reluctantly surrender him. His former owner had rescued Murphy from an abusive situation in 2005 and gave him excellent care.

Murphy is approx. 12 years old but still full of life. He is well-mannered, gets along great with other dogs and cats and is even house trained. He is very loving and the perfect lap dog, making him a great companion for a retired or elderly person. His former home did include children so he'll do very well as a family pet as well as long as the children know how to properly handle a small dog. He instantly becomes friends with all he meets and quickly learns new house training rules.

A recent vet visit deemed Murphy very healthy, free of heart worms and any other such ailments. His former owner never had him neutered and because of his age, our vet doesn't recommend having this procedure preformed.
