Sunny had a very hard start to life; as a small puppy, her former owners left her to roam freely, which resulted in her being hit by a car. Making things even worse, the owner decided to just leave her lying in the road, waiting for her to die. But a concerned citizen convinced them to sign her over to SoCo Rescue. We rushed Sunny to the vet for a full exam. Our vet said the break to her left rear leg was the worst he's seen in 10 years of practice. Sunny's rear leg actually exploded from the impact, leaving us no option other than to have her leg amputated. Sunny has recovered and adapted very well since her surgery, getting around as if she still had all 4 legs. She's happy, playful and very loving. Sunny has now been spayed, up to date on all vaccines and is very healthy. She will excel in just about any home situation. Sunny is currently about 15 lbs and will grow to be in the 35 lb range.
