This young fellow is Jude, a Black Lab mix male puppy that is approximately 3 months old (as of 07/15/12)

Jude was found as a stray outside the Sign-A-Rama in Dublin, Ga. While a search for his owner yielded no positive results, people in the area said that they had noticed him roaming free at the business for at least a week, but no one offered him any help.

As you can see from the picture of Jude on the vet table, he was in pretty rough shape. When first examined, our vet said Jude was "loaded" with hookworms, adding that the pup would likely have died from the quantity had he not been rescued when he was. Our vet also believes his skin infection and hair loss was started due to possible ant bites and/or burns from hot pavement. An antibiotic was prescribed for the skin/hair conditions, which has now cleared up. Jude has also been wormed, removing the hookworms that almost cost him his life.

Today, Jude has almost doubled his weight and is clearly doing much better. His skin and hair look great and he has received 2 of his first year puppy vaccines with the last round coming due on 7/18. Jude will need to be neutered once he reaches 6 months of age.

Jude is very playful, enjoying romping around with dogs of all sizes and ages. He has already learned to play fetch, loves his dog toys and is doing very well with his leash training. When cat tested, Jude exhibited no aggression towards them. Jude also has preformed well in his house and crate training
