Meet Possum, a very timid, very quiet Chihuahua mix. Possum came to SoCo from another rescuer after being found, over a year ago, as a stray. She has always been very timid and has a low activity level. While we are not positive about her age, she is estimated to be between 6-8 years old.

Possum prefers to spend most of her day simply staying in her favorite spot. She does not like to roam or play but does enjoy being near her humans. She may have been the product of a puppy mill or suffered abuse in her past, thus leading to her very low activity level. But because of this, Possum will make a great companion for a senior or retired person.

Possum is somewhat house trained but does require being taken outdoors for her potty breaks. About the only time she will bark is when she needs to go outdoors. She is very quick with these breaks and will run back to her favorite sitting spot once done.

While Possum is very friendly towards all humans and other dogs, a home without small children might be best due to her timid state.
