Description:
CiCi is a courtesy listing. Please contact Scott at socorescue@yahoo.com to inquire about her. CiCi is currently located in the Charleston, S.C. area. Transportation assistance will be offered if the right home is found. CiCi is a Plott Hound that was adopted by her current owner last August . The owner, having never dealt with the breed, has discovered that she does not have the experience or time to properly train CiCi, so she is trying to do what's best for CiCi by finding her a new home. CiCi is still in the puppy mode, which includes some of the basic puppy behavior. With time and training, she can and should overcome those "faults". CiCi has been spayed, received all her vaccines, is heart worm free and has been well taken care of. CiCi is very friendly, getting along great with other dogs and people alike. She will make a very great pet with the right family. There will be no adoption fees assoc with CiCi but interested aprties will still be required to complete and pass an application check. Below is a copy of what CiCi's owner has to say about her: Good points: She is an incredibly loving and gentle dog. Great with every person and dog she meets, after about 45 seconds. Up until coming to me she had been crated all her life. Now she has a yard and 2 best friends to play with, my other 2 dogs. She has been to obedience training. Both the trainer and I were amazed at her complete change. I stay so frustrated with the original owner for doing her such an injustice. It was just easier not dealing with her at all, when she just needed love and guidance. The neighborhood I live in is "older". She has not been around my grandchildren yet, but I would have no hesitation. She loves chasing her ball. She is bringing it back to me now. She knows her basic commands: sit, down, stay, give, come. I am working on everything being by pointing, instead of verbal. She knows those signs also. She doesn't like to sit or down for more than a few seconds. She IS a puppy! I am getting better trained every day at NOT leaving things lying around. She loves her big bone and would really rather chew on that. It stays in her kennel. I work a 9 - 10 hour day 5 days a week. She is in the kennel during that time. She has never had an "accident" in the house or kennel since I got her in Aug. In time, except for her natural behavior, she is going to be a great pet. She has already made a 180 degree turn for me. I have just had Cavalier King Charles Spaniels too long. That is the temperment I am used to. She has never chewed a piece of furniture, but shoes, purses, mail, paper, packages, rugs are simply irresistable. EVERYTHING must be put away (closed doors, drawers). She is getting much better with "give". Bribery is working.
