Description:
Jerry and his two siblings, Elaine and Kramer, were dumped off just down the road from SoCo on a very hot afternoon. The three of them were all very unsocialized towards humans, possibly having been the products of a puppy mill. Two days after we caught Elaine and Krammer, Jerry was still running loose. He would avoid us, retreating back into the woods to hide. But each day he would be in the same spot, looking for his two siblings that had been placed safely in the care of our rescue. It took another week to catch Jerry, who had become dehydrated by that time. Ironically, it was Jerry that was the first to become trusting of us and now enjoys human contact very much. He'll even offer a paw for you to shake! Jerry will wrap both his front paws around your arm, giving you a big hug. Jerry loves playing with other dogs, especially those his own size and is great with humans of all size. While very active, he is not overly hyper. Since with us, Jerry has been neutered, wormed and fully vaccinated. He is also on a monthly heart worm preventative (and did test negative for heart worms). He is friendly to both dogs and humans and is learning his house training skills. Jerry has come a long way in such a short time. All he needs now is a home to call his own.
