Sammy is a precious, quiet and very polite Dachshund that we would LOVE to keep ourselves. And while he is more then welcome to be one of our "lifers" we know that the right home could give him so much more companionship - and he deserves it!

 

Sammy came to us after a rescuer found him abandoned in a small town trailer with a broken hip. She made sure he had surgery but she could not keep him. We took him in - after all just look at that precious face!

 

Sammy gets around just fine! His hip is slightly indented, but it doesn't bother him. In fact, he loves to take walks and he will dance around with all the younger Doxies in our rescue vying for attention. He could stand to lose a little more weight, so perhaps more walks are in order!

 

Sammy is a quiet fella and will curl up on his doggie bed next to you and be perfectly content. However if you pick him up to snuggle beside you, he will lay perfectly still and peacefully join you for a nap!

 

Sammy is up to date on all vaccines, has been neutered and is housebroken. No chewed shoes with this fella - mature dogs are so settled, gentle and just enjoy being your best friend!
