Buttercup (nicknamde Pudge) was  rescued from Covington Animal Shelter. She is very sweet and loving but also so timid we wonder what kind of life she had before. Soon after we got her we discovered she had something on her back and thought it might have been a hot spot. When we started shaving her hair to treat her we had to shave most of her back and over the next few days her "hot spot" had managed to cover most of her body. Thankfully we have managed to take care of whatever it was but she now has no hair. It is growing back but she doesn't have the long thick pomeranian hair we're used to. She is such a sweet girl who just loves to sit in your lap and be petted. She is easily startled but recovers just as quickly with a few reassuring words.

 

08-28-2010 She has tufts of hair on the end of each ear and is such a flighty little girl we call her our "fairy girl". Her hair is growing back along her body quite well and her tail is so thick and soft we are amazed at the transformation!  She still loves to be petted and sit in a lap but will not argue with anybody to do so. She also loves snacks - popcorn, peanuts, anything we eat she wants but has learned to wait her turn.
