A local family started noticing a stray female dog had began to show signs of being pregnant, so they took her under their care so that she'd have a safe place to deliver her litter. The pregnant dog was very sweet and receptive to their kindness. Shortly after the mom delivered her litter, she apparently got into a fight with some other animal, evident by the bite marks, that left her with a fractured leg. Not only did this family continue to care for mom and pups, they also covered the cost of having the mom's leg examined and treated by a vet and have offered to keep her for now. Their dedication to helping this mom and pups only increased our desire to help find the pups a home.

Hulsey is the type of pup that can definitely fill any home with ample amounts of love, devotion and companionship. Her very friendly, playful personality will enrich your life and have you eager to return home everyday. She'll do very well in a home with another dog and even children.

Hulsey has now received 2/3 of her first-year puppy vaccines, her Bordetella and rabies vaccinations as well as scheduled de-wormings and preventative care including being started on her flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Her adopter will have to agree to having Hulsey spayed once she turns 6 months of age and providing SoCo with verification of such. Hulsey will require all of her basic training.
