***ADOPTION PENDING*** Dixie is currently located at SoCo Rescue in Tarrytown, GA. She is scheduled to be transported to Flemington, NJ to attend our upcoming adoption event at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes, NJ over the Nov 8-9 weekend. An application for her adoption should be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Dixie and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the rescue's number.*** Boy, have we got a gem for you! Those who know Chihuahuas know all too well that there's actually only two types. Doesn't matter if it's a Tea Cup, Apple Head, long or short haired, it's either a totally-fearless, ankle-bitter that thinks it's 250lbs or a sweet, gentle, rather-lay-in-your-lap little prima-donna, which is where Dixie falls into place. With a super-sweet, gentle and very friendly personality, Dixie would love to find a home with a family, including one with children who know how to handle a small dog, where she can find love and security. She's accustomed to being crated, doing very well inside one as long as she has a plush toy to play with, a big pillow to lay on and a small sheet to borrow under. Of course, she'd much rather be cuddled up on your lap, snuggled inside your shirt. She is a little angel. And she gets along great with other dogs and cats as well! Dixie has been spayed, received an update on all of her annual vaccinations, de-wormings and monthly preventatives. She's a very healthy, happy little girl. She does need additional house and leash training
