Baker began his life just like so many other puppies within our area. His mom was a pregnant stray that wandered onto someone's property and delivered her litter. Initially there were eleven pups but the runt did not survive due to the mom being undernourished herself. The mom (pictured) is now with the people who found her and has since been spayed, thanks to the Fix GA Pets program. Baker and his nine siblings have been at our rescue since the beginning of September.

Contrary to what he looks like in his photos, Baker isn't timid at all. In fact, you'll notice that he's always ready to offer his paw in a show of friendship to everyone he meets. He's also very playful, sweet and affectionate. Baker will do very well as a family companion, even if sharing the home with other dogs and/or children. 

Prior to his adoption, Baker will have received all three of his first year "puppy" vaccinations, de-wormings and other preventative care. He is scheduled to be neutered on Oct 3rd as well, removing that expense and obligation from his potential adopter. He will, however. require all of his basic training which should come very easy for this seemingly highly intelligent pup.
