Her Foster mom writes…
If you’re looking to be greeted with FULL wiggle butts, tail wagging TONS of kisses and happiness every moment of the day then Sidney is your girl. She’s been keeping up with her foster sister Charlie (also a SoCo alum) playing with toys and snuggling. Shes been fabulous with kids and any adult she meets! She will always greet you with warmth and happiness. She’s also loving swim time in her foster family’s pool so much that they got her own mini pool to splash around in! She’s been doing great with potty training, leash training and she sleeps through the night already in her crate! With her stuffed doggie snuggled up with her she falls fast asleep! She’d make a wonderful companion to any house and would probably do just fine with kitties too as she’s very gentle.
The overwhelming problems that all rescues are facing these days is best exemplified with the rescuing of our "S" litter. While at a local mobile home park to pick up a dog due to the owner's declining health, Scott Bennett was told about a litter of pups that were abandoned at the dumpster within the park. When he went to check on those pups, he came across yet another litter of very young pups that had been abandoned by their previous owner. That litter, just barely 6 weeks old, were all huddled together within a small makeshift pen. There was nothing to shield the pups from the hot sun. Scott knew if he left these pups there that they would most likely die, so he had the manager of the park sign them over to SoCo Rescue. We're happy to report that all five of the pups are doing great!
If we had to label one of the pups as the shyest among this litter, it would be Sidney. Still, she is very well socialized towards people and loves to play. While a little bashful at first, Sidney still will do very well in just about any home situation.
Sidney will have received all of her first year "puppy" vaccinations, de-wormings and other required care prior to her adoption. She's also been started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Her adopter must agree to having Sidney spay once she reaches 6 months of age and provide SoCo with verification of such. Sidney will need all of her basic training.
