Description:

**Adoption Pending**  An independent rescuer was contacted about a litter of 4 young pups that needed re-homing or rescue and went to check on the pups. The owner stated that they wanted to keep one pup for their kids, but the rescuer was able to convince them that it would best if all four pups went to a rescue. The owner's young son was holding the pup that he wanted to keep, the runt of the litter, and became so angry about having to give the puppy away that he spiked the tiny puppy to the ground in the same fashion a football player would spike a football. The owner of the pups didn't chastise the boy and really blew the incident off as if nothing happened! The rescuer gathered the pups up and left as quickly as she could to get the pups to safety. She then placed a call to SoCo and brought us the four pups. Unfortunately, the little runt didn't survive his ordeal as the head trauma apparently was too much for him to overcome.

The remaining three pups have flourished in their time at SoCo Rescue, appearing very healthy and happy. We're not positive of their breed mix but they appear to have some Shepherd and/or Boxer in their DNA. All three girls are very well socialized towards people, playful and seem to have suffered no lasting affects from their time with their former owner and their animal abuser-in-the-making son

Myra has that middle-of-the-road type of personality: she's fun and playful but also a bit on the calm, laid-back side. She's energetic but may need a little coaxing when encountering new things. With proper guidance, Myra will be an excellent family companion.

Myra has received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccines; her rabies and boretella vaccinations; de-wormed and treated against parasites and tapeworms. Her adopter must agree to having Myra spay once she reaches 6 months of age and provide proof  of such to our rescue.
