***Chance will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the Oct 25-27 weekend. At this time, we're only accepting applications for his adoption from the NJ and surrounding areas.***

When Chance's former owner moved, he asked his father to look after Chance while he got settled into the new home. Promises were made to get Chance but the owner never returned, leaving the elderly father to care for him. While the father loved and bonded with Chance, his own health required that he find a new home for Chance.

It took a few days for Chance to settle in and not be scared of all the new people he was now encountering. At first, he was defensive and would bark aggressively when anyone approached him. Our staff was patient, giving him treats and being very kind to him and within a couple of days, Chance was sitting in their laps. Once he knows that you're a friend, Chance is very friendly and affectionate.

Chance has now been neutered, received an update on all of his vaccinations and recently tested negative for heartworms. While at his former home, Chance did very well on his house training but may need a refresher course once in his new home. Because he may need a few days to settle in, we think a home without small children or a lot of commotion would be best
