***Barkley will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the Sept 13-15 weekend. At this time we're only accepting applications for Barkley from the NJ and surrounding areas.***

Barkley was found as a stray in a neighboring city and by a senior woman that had already asked SooCo to help find new homes for her dogs. Efforts by this woman and SoCo failed  to locate Barkley's owner and he didn't appear to have a microchip. We quickly discovered that Barkley was also heartworm positive and recently completed his treatment to rid his body of those worms. 

Barkley quickly became a staff favorite with his super friendly personality. He's shared a kennel with a number of other dogs since arriving at SoCo and is always eager to climb onto our laps when we visit with him. While he is very affectionate and personable, Barkley isn't clingy or hyper, making him a great candidate for anyone looking for a little lap dog.

We're not sure if Barkley has any house training skills so any potential adopter should be prepared to provide training to him. He's received an update on all of his vaccinations and has been kept up to date with his monthly preventatives. A microchip will accompany his adoption.
