**Chase will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills (Pennington, NJ) over the Jan. 4-6 weekend.**

When we first encounter Chase, he was roaming the streets, near starvation and drinking stale water from an old mop drain pit as he apparently couldn't find any other water source. He was so weary of people that it took some "trickery" just to catch him. So heartbreaking were the first pictures taken of Chase as he was hunched over with his head hung low and not too keen on letting anyone touch him. 

But that all changed after a few days at SoCo Rescue. He quickly realized that we meant him no harm and that we had an endless supply of food for him to eat. The soft bed and fresh water didn't hurt with the bonding process either! Chase came out of his shell and revealed his true friendly, playful personality. He also let us know that he wanted a friend to play with and has gotten along great with every dog we've let him play with. 

Chase will need all of his basic training. He is full of energy but will turn to mush when getting a belly rub. His ideal home would be one that allows Chase plenty of room to run and play. 

Chase has now been neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He recently tested negative for heartworms and doesn't seem to have any lingering problems from his days as a stray dog.
