**Chainey Is being fostered in the Long Branch, NJ area.**

Chainey was among five dogs that a woman surrendered to our rescue. This woman takes in stray/unwanted dogs, gives them basic care and tries to find either a new home or a rescue to take them in.

Chainey, a Cattle Dog mix, is a real sweetheart! She's excellent around people of all ages and enjoys giving attention as much as she does receiving it. She calm, well-mannered and such a joy to be around. In fact, when we took her to our vet's office, everyone there fell in love with her!

Chainey is very good around other dogs. She's neither alpha or submissive with them, rather very playful but will stand her ground if challenged. We don't think there's any reason she shouldn't be with another dog but would require a "meet-and-greet" if an interested party has another dog. We're not sure how she'll be with cats

Chainey walks very well on a leash and appears to have had some house training in the past, although her adopter should expect to have to give her a refresher course. She loves playing with toys, particularly a tennis ball.

Chainey has now been spay, received an update on all of her vaccinations, de-wormed and started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. She ven recently tested negative for heartworms.
