Chief came to SoCo Rescue as an owner surrender after he and his former owner's other dog decided to no longer live in unison. 

When he came to us, Chief suffered from a flea allergy and was missing a portion of his fur on his back. His former owner didn't provide him with any flea preventatives so we immediately administered Bravecto to help combat his flea infestation. He also had a large "bubble" on his back, which was obtained after one of his altercations with another dog, that his former owner's never addressed. We also had the mass examined by our vet, who found it to be non-cancerous and did remove the mass. Chief also received a renewal of all of his vaccinations, wormings and other needed vet care as well as being neutered. He did test negative for heart worms on 10/25/17

Chief is very friendly towards people and loves to socialize with them. He can be a bit dog selective but seems to get along great with cats. He loves to ride in a car, walks well on a leash and appears to have some house training as well.
