**Doobie will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills, in Pennington, NJ, over the July 28-30 weekend**

Doobie's former owner moved away and simply left him and 8 other dogs, including 4 infant puppies, behind. The man would go by the house every 3 days and dump a bag of dog food onto the ground so his dogs could "have something to eat". When a SoCo representative went by to check on the dogs, they found the dogs living in a total mess with feces, trash and even molded dog food all over the place. 

Despite being abandoned, Doobie remained very trusting of humans and retained his wonderful personality.  He gets along great with people, other dogs and even cats. He should easily adjust to being in a new home. We're not sure how well house trained he is so his adopter should be prepared to provide him with such training.

During Doobie's recent vet visit, he tested negative for heart worms. We've updated all of his vaccinations and even started him on his monthly flea/tick preventative.
