**Topper will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills, Pennington, NJ over the July 7-9 weekend.**

Topper and another dog, Connie, were left at our rescue after hours one night. Topper was placed over our fence but Connie was left outside the fenced area. Even though they were divided by the fence, the two lay next to each other until our staff found them the next morning. 

Understandably, Topper was terrified but never exhibited any aggressive behavior when we tried to get her indoor. And since coming to us, Topper has been wonderful but took a few days to really relax and settle in. She is a very friendly, calm girl and would do best in a home without a lot of commotion or with very young children. She loves being a lap dog and would make a companion for an elderly/retired person. She also seems to get along great with other dogs.

We'd love to find a home where Topper and Connie could stay together, being that they are apparently attached, but we know that will be hard to do. Regardless, she should be fine if adopted separately from Connie.
