Little Kika, flunked the "adoptability" test at a north jersey shelter. Fortunately there was a volunteer who was able to take her out of her pen to connect with her gradually on a one-to-one basis. At her foster home Kika shines, playing and dancing when familiar faces come to visit. You won't find a more snugly affectionate little Girl once she gets to know you. She would like a home with adults (no kids under 16) who understand the special intelligence and sensitivity of c hihuahuas. She's about four years old, spayed, up to date on shots and heartworm negative. She is also house trained and will use a wee wee pad but she loves to run in the yard and roll in deer poop.(but who doesn't?!) Kika is a treasure. She's maybe ok with cats after barking at them for a while and just so-so with other dogs. She has a crush on Harry, a 17 year old Pomeranian so she dances and parades in front of him. Since he's pretty much blind, he ignores her. The dogs who want to play with her simply don't interest her. She told me to say she'd be happy as an "only" dog.
