**Lottie will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mill, Pennington, NJ, over the June 16-18 weekend.**

This beautiful little girl is Lottie, who came to us, along with a number of other dogs, from a local "backyard" breeder. Confined to a very small, filthy kennel with her sister, Lottie received very little care or human interaction prior to coming to SoCo Rescue. Her beautiful coat was matted and she was having trouble seeing as her un-groomed hair covered her eyes.

Since coming to SoCo, Lottie has exhibited what a wonderful, friendly girl she really is. Often she'll sit up on and wave her front paws at us and doesn't seem to be timid or scared of new people. Her time stuck in her former tight living quarters with her sister (Mae), both who often stayed on top of their makeshift dog house to have a clean place to stand, left her a little less enthusiastic towards Mae. We're not sure if this slight alpha personality will extend towards other dogs so a meet and greet to other dogs is suggested.

Lottie will make someone a great companion, she just needs a little time and patience to work through things such as house training. She does walk very well on a leash and hasn't shown any aggressive behavior towards people. 

SoCo Rescue doesn't have a professional groomer at our disposal and did what we could to groom and clean up Lottie's coat. Her adopter must understand that she will require regular grooming to keep her coat nice and healthy.
