**Chipper is scheduled to attend our upcoming adoption event at Rosedale Mills, Penning, NJ over the June 16-19 weekend.**

Chipper and his litter mates, as well as a few adult dogs, all came to SoCo Rescue as owner surrenders. The person that had all these dogs is an unlicensed breeder and still has a number of dogs and puppies and plans on continuing her illegal breeding operation. 

On top of it all, the housing for all her dogs is horrible. Chipper and 8 other dogs shared a small, 5X6 kennel that was overloaded with waste, dirty water and food bowls as well as rusty crates serving as the only individual sleeping quarters for the dogs.

Chipper's first day at SoCo Rescue included playtime in our large fenced area. He and his litter mates thought they were in heaven as they were allowed to run and play in a large, clean area! Their faces were full of smiles and they wore themselves out in no time. But mostly, Chipper has enjoyed having human interaction at more than just feeding time. 

Despite Chipper's crude past life, he remains a very friendly, playful pup who should do very well in just about any home situation. Among the litter, he is the most reserved pup but still is very well socialized towards new people. We've already had him neutered and updated all of his vaccines/wormings and even started him on his monthly flea/tick/heart worm preventatives. He'll need some house and leash training but we suspect that Chipper will enjoy his time spent with you during training
