Description:
**Clair will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills over the May 19-21 weekend** Starting your life off in captivity and with very little human affection is no way for any dog to live. Such was the case for Clair who lived with her mother (Stephanie) within a small exercise pen for the first 8 months of her life. On top of her poor beginning she was also born with a deformed foot that only has 2 toes on it. Her former owner took little to no regard to Clair's needs as she was badly matted with feces clumped to her tiny body. She was also very scared of humans and seemed to only have one friend, that being her mom. Once she was safely in our care, Clair was groomed, given all of her vet care, including being spay, and she quickly became very trusting of people. She has exhibited no problems with her deformed foot, even loving to stand straight up and dance around and has started enjoying being a pup for the first time in her life. Clair loves to sit in your lap and give kisses, play with toys and even gets along great with other dogs. Her life finally is looking good, she just needs to find a home of her own. Since she is really attached to her mom, Clair may require a little time to adjust to being away from her and having another small dog to associate with may help her in that adjustment. But the love and admiration that she’ll end up showing you will make any adjustment period well worth the time. If you think you can offer Clair the home she so deserves and needs, please submit an application at socorescue.com.
