If this  former stray hadn't found rescue when he did, the perils of being homeless and improper vet care would have led to his death.

Chevy was found wandering close to SoCo Rescue late one night. While he seemed to be in pretty good condition, Chevy became deathly sick within a couple of days. His illness had all of the signs of parvo and he was treated for such while in a quarantined foster home. Twice a day a SoCo member would hydrate, medicate and just spend time with this wonderful dog. At first we didn't know if Chevy would survive but remained dedicated and hopeful to saving his life. Slowly but sure and after a week, Chevy began to regain his strength and managed to survive his bout with parvo. He's now been fully vaccinated against parvo and other harmful viruses; de-wormed; received his rabies vaccination; neutered and started on  monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. a microchip will accompany his adoption.

Chevy has a wonderful, friendly personality and only knows happiness. He is instantly friends with everyone he meets, plays very well with other dogs and would make a great family companion. He does still have some of those "puppy tendencies", like wanting to jump up for attention, with a little basic training, Chevy should develop into a well-behaved family member. 

Chevy is approximately 8-10 months, 45 lbs and expected to grow to around 50-60 lbs.
