Othello and his three siblings came to SoCo Rescue as owner surrenders when they were approximately 2 ½ months old. Their former owner has a number of un-sterilized dogs that are constantly impregnating each other which has led to a number of unwanted or unneeded litters being born over the past few years. Apparently the owners just don’t place a high priority on sterilizing their dogs.

Othello, the more daring and inquisitive of his litter, seems to be the leader of this pack of little Dachshund mix pups. Non-aggressive, Othello loves to play and and is very friendly to everyone he meets. If his current personality is any indication, Othello will grow to be a friendly and fun little companion

Othello is approximately 4 months old and appears to be in excellent health. As of June 26^th, he's received 2 of his 3 first year puppy vaccines, been wormed and treated against parasites as a precautionary measure. He'll soon be receiving his rabies and bordetella vaccinations and has already been started on a monthly heart worm preventative. A microchip will accompany him at the time of adoption. Othello's adopter must agree to having him neutered at the appropriate age (6-7 months) and supply SoCo with proof of such.

Being a young puppy, Othello will need to be house trained and receive other basic guidance such as leash training. Along with his puppy playfulness, his adopter should expect   Othello to also  conduct himself in puppy like manner and be willing to give him the training and patience that any pup needs.
