Mindy came to us from horrid conditions not suitable for a human to live in let alone a dog.  She was living outside in absolute filth and eating scraps as her main diet.  When SoCo received the call to go out to the house it was originally for two other dogs that were there.  Once we got there and saw three other dogs there living in these conditions, we knew they couldn't stay there. We didn't have room at the rescue at the time but we vowed to get them out of there as soon as possible.  

Within a few week's time we got all the dogs out of there and gave them a safe place to live. Mindy seemed to like her new surroundings and adapted pretty quickly to her new environment. She is an adorable girl with her droopy eyes and mellow manner.  She gets along well with both people and other dogs unless another dog acts aggressively towards her..  Mindy would do well in any household with older children.

As of May 2017 it's estimated Mindy is between 4 1/2 to 5 years old.  She is current on all her vaccinations, has been spayed and was treated for heart worms in Jan 2017 (retest every 6 months). Mindy will need some house training as she's never lived in a house before but rarely does she relieve herself while inside her kennel.
